Explore the vibrant capital of the Spanish Basque Country through this personalized tour of Bilbao. This experience highlights the city's distinctive architectural diversity as you pass by renowned landmarks like the Guggenheim Museum.

Tour Overview

We’ll begin our journey at the designated meeting point: Plaza Moyua. From here, our private walking tour of Bilbao will commence. Being a private tour means you can also decide which locations to include in our itinerary.

Our adventure will kick off in the modern section of Bilbao, home to the iconic Guggenheim Museum. This architectural gem boasts an extensive collection of contemporary and modern art, earning its status as a city emblem. After exploring the museum, we will cross the architecturally striking Zubizuri Bridge, famous for its distinctive form.

Moving forward, we will delve into the Ensanche district, where you’ll witness the impressive transformation of the city. As we stroll through this area, take in the diverse architectural styles and enjoy the beauty of Doña Casilda Iturrizar Park. This district also hosts the acclaimed Bilbao Fine Arts Museum.

We will then stop at the stunning Arriaga Theatre, a Neo-Baroque opera venue, followed by a leisurely walk along the river to admire key structures like the Town Hall.

Next, we’ll navigate through Bilbao’s enchanting Old Town, where the famous Seven Streets represent the city’s original walled settlement. During our exploration, we could make a visit to Plaza Nueva (New Square), a neoclassical area established in 1821, featuring a variety of local bars and eateries.

If you are keen on exploring religious sites, the remarkable Santiago Cathedral, a Roman Catholic structure with origins in the 14th century, is a must-see. Additionally, we could include a visit to the Church of San Nicolás, a beautiful example of Baroque architecture.

After three engaging hours, we will conclude our tour at a local bar in the Old Town, where you will be treated to a pintxo (a traditional Basque small dish) alongside your choice of a beverage, such as wine, beer, water, coffee, or tea!
