On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the Advanced Gate in Birgu at the scheduled time. From there, we'll begin this informative tour of the Pearl of the Three Cities.

During this tour, we'll explore various squares and historical sites, as the expert local guide uncovers the city's history and Baroque architecture. At our stops, the Advanced Gate and the Gate of Provence, we will learn about Birgu's role in the Great Siege of Malta in 1565, when Ottoman forces attacked the city. Notable fortifications like Fort St. Angelo were crucial during this siege.

We'll also visit the Bastions of St. John and St. James and the Armoury of the Knights of St. John, discussing Malta during the Second World War, when Birgu faced intense air raids and naval attacks. The city’s proximity to the Grand Harbour made it a strategic target for Axis bombers.

Additionally, we will see the Bishop's Palace, Huesca Palace, Inquisitor's Palace, Freedom Monument, and Victorious City Marina. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, we will conclude the tour.
