Waterfalls, mountains and incredible landscapes await you on this hiking trail through Ala Archa National Park, a natural paradise near the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Activity Details

Transportation will be provided from your hotel in Bishkek at the scheduled time to commence the hike through Ala Archa National Park. After traveling approximately 40 km (24.8 mi), we will arrive at the Lower Ala-Archa alpine camp, situated at an altitude of 2,100 m (6,889 ft). Here, we will begin our hike to the Ak-Sai gorge.

The trail features a dense forest of Tien Shan fir trees with various plant species, including medicinal plants such as golden root and St. John's wort. We will have opportunities to take photos of the Corona, Boks, and Ratsek peaks along with the Ak-Sai glacier.

The ascent will gradually increase in altitude before descending to the Shyrkarytma River, which we will cross early to avoid the afternoon's rising water levels. Afterward, the trail flattens before ascending to a 20 m (65.6 ft) waterfall. Caution is required here, but the view will be rewarding. In summer, cooling off in the waterfall is an option.

We will then have a picnic at the summit at 2,700 m (8,858 ft), enjoying various food options. Afterwards, we will descend leisurely to the starting point, concluding the activity with a return to your hotel after 7 to 8 hours.
