Tour Details
We'll meet at Ala-Too Square, an iconic location in Bishkek. Once assembled, we'll begin our guided tour, exploring the historical significance of the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
Ala-Too Square celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic. We'll also discuss its alternative name.
Following our visit to the Manas Monument and, if available, the changing of the guard, we'll walk to the Parliament, Government House, and the State History Museum.
Next, we will visit Panfilov Park to view the monument honoring a Russian general, the statue of Lenin, and notable Soviet-era mosaics. We'll continue walking through Bishkek to appreciate the urban art present on various buildings.
We will then stop at Victory Square to discuss its significance. Here, we will also view the Abdylas Maldybaev Opera and Ballet Theatre. Additional points of interest will include the Kurmanjan Datka Monument, Chuy Avenue, and Erkindik Boulevard.
In the final portion of the tour, we'll visit Revolution Square, where we'll see the Imam Sarakhsi Central Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Central Asia. The tour concludes with a tasting of a traditional Kyrgyz national drink and will last a total of 3 hours.
