Travel to the heart of Gerona and see two of the area's most beautiful medieval towns. You'll visit Rupit and Besalú, exploring their cobbled streets and learning about their history.

Rupit and Besalú Day Trip

The tour meets at the Blanes Bus Station. From here, we begin our journey to Rupit, one of Catalonia's beautiful villages, with a history stretching back to the 11th Century.

After about an hour and a half, we'll arrive at Rupit, where you'll have free time to explore the area on your own. You can wander through its narrow streets with stone houses, a clear example of a medieval city.

No visitor can leave without crossing its famous hanging bridge, offering views of the natural scenery surrounding Gerona. We'll have a complete, typical Catalan lunch before continuing the excursion.

Next, we'll visit the Santuario de la Mare de Déu del Far, a church at more than 1,000 metres above sea level. Our guide will reveal the interesting history hidden by its walls.

Finally, we'll arrive at Besalú. We'll see its bridge, the Jewish baths, the San Pedro de Besalú and San Julián monastery and its church, and the old pilgrim's hospital before heading back to the departure point.

Our tour will conclude back at the starting point after a total of 9.5 hours.
