Gather at the Upper Gullfoss parking area at the scheduled time, where we will board a bus that transports us to the adventure launcher. Are you ready for this unique monster truck expedition on Langjökull?

For about 4 hours, we will navigate through the highlands on exhilarating trails that will captivate your senses. Throughout this exploration, you’ll appreciate the striking features of this glacial giant while absorbing fascinating insights about glaciers. Pure exhilaration awaits!

As we traverse the vast landscapes, the stunning vistas of the Icelandic highlands will unfold before you. Isn't it reminiscent of a scene from a different realm? With expansive plains, volcanic structures, and majestic ice fields extending endlessly, you’ll find yourself captivated, snapping photos at every turn!

At the midpoint of our journey, we will disembark the monster truck to immerse ourselves in the glacier's splendor. Depending on whether you select the summer or winter experience, we will enjoy a warm drink accompanied by a playlist of Icelandic melodies. What more could you ask for?

During our pause, we can also indulge in some sledding on the glacier. If fortune smiles upon us, we might even glimpse a natural ice cave. Keep in mind that visiting this cavern is typically not included during the summer months. After our refreshment and musical interlude, we will continue our expedition.

Following this spectacular excursion, we will return you to the Geldingafell base camp.

Tour Options

This tour varies seasonally, offering distinct experiences:

Summer tour (from April 16 to October 31): We will visit a scenic viewpoint that showcases stunning glacier panoramas. Take a moment to unwind at the on-site café, enjoying a hot chocolate, coffee, or tea alongside a traditional kleinur pastry. For the thrill-seekers, this is your chance to try sledding down the glacier slopes or even engage in glacier golf in this extraordinary environment.Winter tour (from November 1 to April 15): This season allows for an exploration of a natural ice cave, a hidden treasure of the glacier. Inside, witness the beautiful clarity of the ice, historical layers of frozen volcanic ash, and the deep azure hues unique to glacier formations. This enchanting winter spectacle is bound to leave you enchanted!
