Langjökull Glacier Monster Truck Tour

Explore Iceland's second largest glacier Langjökull on a monster truck tour aboard the colossal Sleipnir truck.

Activity Details

Meet at the Upper Gullfoss parking lot at the indicated time for a bus that will take us to the starting point. The Langjökull glacier monster truck tour lasts 4 hours, traveling through the highlands on steep trails while learning about glaciers.

Experience stunning views of the Icelandic highlands with wide plains, volcanic formations, and ice fields. At the halfway point, we will exit the truck to explore the glacier, dependent on the season. A hot drink will be provided while enjoying Icelandic music.

Sledding down the glacier will be available during the stop. Note that visits to the natural ice cave occur only in winter. After this adventure, we will return to the Geldingafell base camp.

Tour Options

The tour varies by season:

Summer tour (April 16 to October 31): Includes a stop at a viewpoint with café access for hot chocolate, coffee, or tea paired with a traditional kleinur. Options for sledding or glacier golf are also available.Winter tour (November 1 to April 15): Includes a visit to a natural ice cave, showcasing crystal-clear ice and layers of volcanic ash.
