On this tour, you'll experience the crystal clear blue waters of the Silfra fissure through diving and snorkelling, followed by relaxation at the Laugarvatn Fontana spa.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Thingvellir National Park, home to the Silfra Fissure. We will walk to the fissure and appreciate its natural beauty. Prior to snorkelling, you will be instructed on the basic techniques of snorkelling for a safe experience.

The fissure is where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates split, allowing you to dive between two continents. You'll observe the canyon walls closely.

While swimming in the clear waters, you will reach the widest section, Silfra Hall, then proceed to the Silfra Cathedral, an impressive segment of the fissure. The snorkelling will conclude at the Blue Lagoon, the shallowest part of the rift.

After approximately 35 minutes of snorkelling, we will return to land and warm up with hot chocolate and biscuits. Refreshed, we will drive to the relaxing Laugarvatn Fontana spa.

At the spa, you can unwind in the geothermal baths and enjoy the natural waters, including pools, steam baths, and ice lakes. The tour concludes at the spa, approximately 5 hours later, but you may stay at the spa for as long as you wish.
