Can you imagine snorkelling between two continents? Dive into the Silfra fissure and swim between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Silfra Snorkelling Experience
We'll meet at the Thingvellir National Park visitors' centre and board a bus to travel across this volcanic land, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An expert guide will provide all necessary information for a safe experience.
After a short journey, we'll arrive at the Silfra fissure, where we will get equipped and begin our snorkelling experience in this unique natural setting.
Silfra offers exceptional snorkelling conditions with visibility exceeding 262 feet (80 metres) and its location between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates allows you to snorkel between two continents.
We will snorkel for 45 minutes, exploring the canyon walls and varying shades of blue in the crystal-clear waters. The fissure expands into Silfra Hall, highlighting the spectrum of colors and clarity. We will then proceed to Silfra Cathedral and conclude at the deepest part, known as Real Blue Lagoon.
