Description

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Boca Chica and board the safari trucks for an exploration of the southern Dominican Republic.

During the truck safari, we'll navigate mud flats and uneven terrain, providing a memorable experience. You'll have the chance to photograph the extensive sugar cane plantations surrounding the Dominican village of Benérito.

We'll visit a weighing station and a local village, known as a batey, where you can meet farmers, learn about their lifestyles, and taste sugar cane.

The tour continues to the city of Higüey, where you'll discover how Dominican cigars are made at an organic tobacco factory. Following this, we will tour the central market and visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Altagracia before enjoying a Dominican lunch.

Finally, you'll have the opportunity to swim in the Chavón River, followed by a cruise on the Chavón River aboard a traditional wooden boat. After this experience, we'll return to the truck and head back to the hotels in Boca Chica, with an estimated arrival time of around 5 pm.
