Explore the southern coast of the dreamy island of Saona with this excursion from Boca Chica. A paradise full of native flora and fauna and mangroves awaits!

Description

Between 7 and 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Boca Chica. We'll travel to Bayahíbe to take a boat to Cotubanamá National Park. A brief stop will be made at Palmilla beach before continuing to Saona Island, known for Playa La Caleta and Playa Mano Juan, featuring crystalline pools.

Lunch will be a traditional meal by the sea, with rice, meat, salad, pasta, and a non-alcoholic beverage.

After lunch, we'll explore the town of Mano Juan, view traditional colorful houses, and visit the sea turtle conservation center to learn about hatchling care. Between August and September, you may see newborn turtles.

Next, we'll swim at Los Flamencos beach and observe native birds. Then, we'll navigate through mangrove areas and, if desired, you can jump off the boat to see starfish.

We'll conclude the day with a cocktail featuring Dominican rum. Finally, we'll return to the pier in Bayahíbe for the bus ride back to Boca Chica, arriving at your hotel between 5 and 6:30 pm.
