Explore the southern coast of the dreamy island of Saona with this excursion from Boca Chica. A paradise full of native flora and fauna and mangroves awaits!

Description

Between 7 and 9 am, pickup will be at your hotel in Boca Chica. Then, travel to Bayahíbe for a boat to Cotubanamá National Park. A brief stop will be made at Palmilla beach.

Next, sail to Saona Island, part of Cotubanamá National Park. Visits will include Playa La Caleta and Playa Mano Juan, known for their crystalline natural pools.

Lunch will consist of a traditional meal by the sea, featuring rice, meat, salad, pasta, and a non-alcoholic beverage.

After lunch, walk through Mano Juan to see colorful houses and visit the sea turtle conservation center to learn about hatchling care protocols. During August and September, sightings of newborn turtles are possible.

Then, visit Los Flamencos beach for swimming and bird watching. Next, explore the mangrove areas full of various mangrove species. There is an option to jump off the boat to see starfish up close, with care not to disturb them.

The day concludes with a cocktail with Dominican rum before returning to the pier in Bayahíbe. Arrival at your hotel in Boca Chica is scheduled between 5 and 6:30 pm.
