Hiking Through the Tararecua Canyon

This adventure will take us through canyons, mountains, lush forests, waterfalls, rivers, and springs, all while encountering a diverse range of wildlife.

Hiking Through the Tararecua Canyon

We'll commence our journey by collecting you at your accommodation at the scheduled time, setting off from Creel towards Tararecua Canyon. This stunning natural environment, nestled within the Sierra Tarahumara mountain range, is renowned as one of Mexico’s most captivating areas, providing the perfect backdrop for an exceptional hiking experience.

Upon reaching the canyon, our hike will begin, allowing us to soak in the scenic beauty surrounding us. This route through Tararecua Canyon presents spectacular views of canyons, mountains, caves, forests, waterfalls, rivers, springs, and showcases the rich biodiversity of Chihuahua state.

The hiking path spans approximately 7.5 kilometers (4.7 miles), with an estimated duration of seven hours to finish. We will match the hike to the group's pace and incorporate numerous stops for photography.

To rejuvenate our energy, a delightful picnic lunch featuring a turkey sandwich, fresh fruit, cookies, and a drink will be offered midway through our trek.

As we progress, we will arrive at the Ekarine hot springs. As a special treat upon completing the extensive hike, you’re invited to experience a soothing bath in the natural pools by the riverside, located at the base of Tararecua Ravine—an experience to remember!

After concluding our hiking adventure in Tararecua Ravine, we will return you to your hotel in Creel.
