Join us on this hiking route through Boca da Onca to see the highest waterfall in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Limestone gorges, natural pools and native forests will mark our steps.
Boca da Onca Hiking Tour
At the agreed time, we'll meet at Rodovia Bodoquena. From this point, we'll start a hiking route to the famous Boca da Onca waterfall, the highest in Mato Grosso do Sul, measuring 156 metres (511 feet).
We'll walk deeper into the Brazilian native forest on a hiking route of moderate difficulty totaling 4.5 kilometres (2.7 miles).
Before reaching Boca da Onça, we'll see eight additional waterfalls, with several stops for rest. If desired, you can take a dip in the Salobra River and in the natural pools along the way.
We will explain how the Boca da Onca waterfall was formed, visit the river beach, and learn about the connection of this natural monument to a jaguar.
After five hours of walking, we will conclude the activity at the starting point, where you will find rest areas, a swimming pool, a bar, and a small museum.
