Join us on this hiking route through Boca da Onca to see the highest waterfall in Mato Grosso do Sul. Limestone gorges, natural pools, and native forests will mark our steps.
Boca da Onca Hiking Tour
At the agreed time, we'll meet at Rodovia Bodoquena. From this point, we'll start a hiking route to the Boca da Onca waterfall, which measures 156 metres (511 feet).
The hike will take us deeper into the Brazilian native forest, covering a total of 4.5 kilometres (2.7 miles) on a moderate difficulty level.
Before reaching Boca da Onca, we'll encounter another eight waterfalls in this natural landscape, making stops to rest. Participants can take a dip in the Salobra River and natural pools along the way.
We will explain the formation of the Boca da Onca waterfall, visit the river beach, and discuss the significance of its name related to a jaguar.
After five hours of walking, we'll return to the starting point, where rest areas, a swimming pool, bar, and a small museum await.
