Bogota Chocolate Workshop
Colombian cocoa is considered one of the best in the world, making this food experience in Bogotá essential for chocolate enthusiasts.
We will meet at 4 pm at The Cranky Croc Hostel and walk to a central location for the chocolate workshop. Here, we will taste chocolates from five regions of Colombia, with varying cocoa percentages from pure dark chocolate to softer milk blends.
The workshop covers all stages of the chocolate-making process and highlights tropical fruits that complement each type of Colombian cocoa. Participants will select their preferred chocolates from the tasting and learn to create different chocolates to take home in a box with three chocolates they made themselves.
The experience concludes with a selection of a typical Colombian cake, with options including almojábana, carimañola, pandebono, puff pastry, empanadas, or mantecada, as well as a choice of arepas in three varieties: boyacense, santandereana, or the classic corn, aniseed, and cheese. The workshop ends at 5:30 pm at the same location. If desired, we can accompany you back to the meeting point.
