Bogota Chocolate Workshop
This workshop showcases Colombian cocoa and offers a unique experience for chocolate enthusiasts. The meeting point is at The Cranky Croc Hostel at 4 pm, followed by a walk to a central location for the workshop. Participants will sample chocolates from five regions of Colombia, experiencing a range from pure dark chocolate to various milk blends.
The workshop covers all stages of the chocolate-making process and explores suitable tropical fruits for each type of cocoa. After the tasting, attendees can choose their preferred chocolates to create unique versions. Each participant will leave with a box containing three homemade chocolates.
The experience concludes with a selection of typical Colombian cakes, including almojábana, carimañola, pandebono, puff pastry, empanadas, or mantecada. Alternatively, participants can select from three varieties of arepa: boyacense, santandereana or a traditional corn, aniseed, and cheese option. The workshop finishes at 5:30 pm, and assistance back to the meeting point is available if desired.
