Description

At the scheduled time, we will gather at your selected pickup point and take a minibus ride toward the heart of Tenjo. Upon arrival, we will commence a 45-minute hike that leads us to the distinctive caves featuring in the interior of Colombia.

As we ascend, the path offers sights of the Bogotá savanna, cultivated lands, and, if fortune smiles upon us, we may catch glimpses of various bird species soaring in the skies above.

We will then prepare to enter the Cuevas de Tenjo, utilizing ropes to descend a remarkable 45 meters (147 feet) beneath the Earth's surface. With lanterns illuminating our way, we will share insights into the caves' formation and uncover the enigmatic purposes they served in history. Prepare to be amazed!

After a 10-minute exploration within the caves, we will ascend to the surface and make our way to a viewpoint that presents a stunning panoramic vista of the surrounding mountains.

Our journey continues as we walk back into town to visit a hummingbird conservation centre. Here, we will learn intriguing facts about these fascinating birds and take a one-hour break to recharge.

Ultimately, we will board the minibus again for our return to the original meeting spot, concluding an enriching 8-hour experience.
