Guatavita & Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá Tour

We will pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Bogotá and set off northbound. After a journey of 2-2.5 hours, we will arrive in the town of Guatavita. Here, we will embark on a 20 to 30-minute route around the town, home to the Guatavita Lagoon. We will have a 2-hour walk with a Spanish-speaking guide. This area is associated with the legend of El Dorado.

Following the lake visit, we will spend 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes traveling to Zipaquirá. Once there, you will have 1 hour free for lunch.

After lunch, you will have 2 hours to visit the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá with an audio guide in English. This church is located 590 feet (180 meters) deep in the salt mines, which have been exploited since 1801.

Finally, we will return to Bogotá, dropping you off after 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.
