Guatavita & Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá Tour

The tour begins with a pickup from your chosen meeting point in Bogotá, followed by a 2-2.5 hour journey to Guatavita. Here, we will take a 20 to 30-minute walk around the town, including a 2-hour guided tour of Guatavita Lagoon, an area where Indigenous Peoples made offerings to Chie, the goddess of water, and is linked to the El Dorado legend.

After the lagoon visit, we will travel for 1 to 1.5 hours to Zipaquirá, where you will have 1 hour for lunch. Following this, you'll have 2 hours to explore the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá using an English audio guide. This church is situated 590 feet (180 meters) deep in salt mines that have been in operation since 1801.

We will return to Bogotá after a journey of 1.5 to 2 hours.

This tour includes a Spanish-speaking driver for transfers and a Spanish-speaking guide during the lagoon walk. The Salt Cathedral visit will be conducted with an English audio guide.
