Tour Details

We will meet at the ticket office of the Monserrate cable car to start the guided tour. We will take the cable car, depending on availability, to the mountain's summit, where impressive views of the city await.

At the summit, we will visit the Basilica of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate and discuss its evolution into an important pilgrimage destination, attracting tourists globally. The tour will cover Catholic traditions and customs prevalent in Colombia.

While exploring the mountain, we will stop at the main viewpoints to admire Bogota from several heights, at an elevation of 3152 metres (10341 feet), allowing for a comprehensive view of the city and its outskirts.

We will also stop at the wishing well to throw a coin and make a wish at the feet of the Virgin of Monserrate, a notable tradition.

Finally, we will return to our initial starting point after the one-and-a-half-hour tour.
