On this guided tour of Monserrate, you'll explore a key site in Bogota, known for its impressive views and rich cultural history.

Tour Details

We will meet at the ticket office of the Monserrate cable car at the scheduled time to begin our tour. From there, we will take the cable car, subject to availability, to the mountain's summit, offering spectacular city views.

At the top, we will visit the Basilica of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate and discuss its significance as a major pilgrimage destination, attracting visitors from around the world. You will also learn about the Catholic traditions and customs present in Colombian daily life.

During our walk around the mountain, we will stop at all the main viewpoints, allowing you to admire Bogota from an altitude of 3152 metres (10341 feet). This height provides excellent views of the city and surrounding areas.

We will also visit the wishing well, where you can toss a coin and make a wish at the feet of the Virgin of Monserrate, a memorable tradition.

Finally, we will return to our starting point after this hour-and-a-half-long tour.
