Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá Day Trip

On our day trip to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, we'll discover one of the most fascinating underground monuments in the world.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at the pickup point in Bogotá and travel north to Zipaquirá, a journey of 1.5 to 2 hours.

Upon arrival, you will have 2 hours of free time in the Salt Cathedral, located 590 feet (180 metres) underground. You can view various sculptures and crosses made from salt along with marble elements. This site was named the first of the Seven Wonders of Colombia in 2007.

During our tour, we will explore notable features of the cathedral, including the choir, the Stations of the Cross, and the water mirrors, while learning about its history. The temperature within the church remains below 15º C (59º F).

You will then have 1 hour of free time in Zipaquirá to have lunch and explore the historic center, including the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and colonial-style buildings.

Finally, we will return to Bogotá.
