Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá Day Trip
After pickup from the meeting point in Bogotá, we'll drive to Zipaquirá, taking 1.5 to 2 hours. You will have 2 hours of free time in the Salt Cathedral, located 590 feet (180 metres) underground. Inside, admire the various sculptures and crosses made from salt and marble elements. The temperature remains at a maximum of 15º C (59º F) as we explore notable features, including the choir, Stations of the Cross, and water mirrors. The cathedral was recognized as the first of the Seven Wonders of Colombia in 2007.
Next, enjoy 1 hour of free time in Zipaquirá for lunch and to stroll through the old quarter, featuring the Santísima Trinidad Cathedral and colonial-style buildings. Afterward, we will return to Bogotá for drop-off.
