Zipaquirá Cathedral of Salt + Lunch at Andrés Carne de Res

On this tour from Bogotá, we will visit the Zipaguirá Cathedral of Salt and then proceed to Chía for a meal at the Andrés Carne de Res restaurant.

Description

We will collect you from your hotel in Bogotá at the designated time and head north to the Zipaquirá Cathedral of Salt, a popular tourist destination in Colombia.

The guided tour of this unique church, located 180 meters deep within a salt mine, will last approximately 2 hours. Highlights include an altar carved out of salt and the sculptures of the Stations of the Cross depicting the crucifixion of Jesus.

After the cathedral visit, you will have 40 minutes of free time to purchase souvenirs in the shopping area outside. Next, we will travel to Chía for lunch at the Andrés Carne de Res restaurant.

You will have a reserved table and enjoy a meal at your own expense while listening to a live music show featuring merengue, salsa, and bachata.

After lunch, we will return to Bogotá, completing the tour in approximately 10 hours.
