Gastronomy & history star in this combo ticket that includes entry to the Archiginnasio & a tasting at the Quadrilateral Market. You'll visit one of Bologna's must-see monuments & taste the famous Bolognese sauce!

Why visit the Archiginnasio of Bologna?

This ticket provides access to the Archiginnasio, one of Bologna's most significant buildings. Constructed in the 16th century under Cardinal Charles Borromeo, it was the seat of the University of Bologna. The courtyard features over 7,000 coats of arms representing past students.

Your English audioguide will offer insights during your exploration of the cloister and key areas, including the Anatomical Theater and Stabat Mater room. In the Anatomical Theater, you will find wooden sculptures related to the study of medicine, including a statue of Bolognese Gaspare Tagliacozzi, a pioneer of plastic surgery.

From the Stabat Mater room, access the Archiginnasio Municipal Library, which contains over 35,000 ancient books.

Tasting at the Quadrilatero Market

Your Archiginnasio entry includes a tasting at the Quadrilateral Market, renowned in Bologna. You will receive two snack tickets, valid on the day of your visit or within the next six days.

Each voucher includes a drink and a typical tapa: crescenza cheese with mortadella, Bolognese meatballs, or tigellone with ragu. These can be enjoyed at any stall within the Quadrilateral Market.
