Description

The Bologna Outskirts Bike Tour offers a scenic exploration of the area surrounding Bologna, visiting small towns such as Casalecchio di Reno, Sasso Marconi, and Palazzo de Rossi.

Starting at 9 am on Via Claudio Treves, participants will ride electric bikes through villages near Bologna. The tour includes a visit to the 14th-century Casalecchio Dam on the Reno River, highlighting its impact on Bologna's economy and connection to the city's historic canals.

In Sasso Marconi, birthplace of Gugliemo Marconi, Nobel Prize winner and radio inventor, participants will learn about his life. A small snack break with a drink and croissant or pizza is included. The tour concludes in the medieval village of Palazzo de Rossi, where guests can discover its historical significance, including a stay by Pope Julius II.

The tour ends between 12:30 and 1 pm, cycling back through tree-lined avenues to the starting point.
