Excursion through the Rio do Rastro Mountains

The adventure commences at 9:45 am at the renowned Barrinha waterfall, a hallmark of Bom Jardim da Serra. This city proudly holds the designation of the National Capital of Waters.

After soaking in the beauty of this stunning site, we will embark on a journey through other notable landmarks of the Rio do Rastro mountain range. Our route will lead us to a viewpoint perched at an impressive altitude exceeding 1460 meters, where we can relish the breathtaking vistas of Bom Jardim da Serra.

As we continue, we will traverse the Ronda canyon, one of three majestic canyons that define the scenery of the Rio do Rastro mountain range. En route, we will encounter a contemporary wind farm, established in 2011, featuring 62 turbines strategically located throughout the canyon.

Subsequently, we will return to Bom Jardim da Serra to explore its historic center and visit key landmarks, including the principal church of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro.

The tour will conclude back at the starting point around 2:45 pm.
