Blue Lake Grotto Guided Tour
We will meet at Frida Garzella dos Santos road, located 22 kilometres from Bonito's centre. A small path leads to the entrance of the Blue Lake cave, partially concealed by jungle vegetation.
Prepare for an exploration! With our guide, we will wear safety helmets and descend approximately 300 steps into the cave. As we venture into this rocky cavity, we will observe numerous stalactites and stalagmites developed over thousands of years.
Upon reaching the depths of the Blue Lake grotto, you will see its namesake underground lake, known for the striking indigo hue of its waters. This site was recognized as a National Historic and Artistic Heritage Site in 1978.
Participants will have time to capture photos of the cave’s spring before ascending the stairs back to the surface.
The guided tour lasts approximately an hour and 20 minutes, concluding at the starting point.
