Blue Lake Grotto Guided Tour
We will meet at Frida Garzella dos Santos road, located 22 kilometres from Bonito’s centre. From there, a small path leads to the entrance of the Blue Lake cave, obscured by jungle vegetation.
Prepare for an impressive experience! Our guide will provide safety helmets as we descend approximately 300 steps into the cave. Inside, you will observe numerous stalactites and stalagmites formed over millennia.
The grotto is renowned for its underground lake, which displays an intense indigo hue, justifying its name. This site was declared a National Historic and Artistic Heritage Site in 1978.
You will have time to capture photos of the spring before we ascend the stairs back to the surface.
The guided tour lasts about an hour and 20 minutes, concluding at the starting point.
