Snorkelling in the Formoso River

Explore the underwater biodiversity of Bonito by snorkelling in the Formoso River. We'll get kitted out with a wetsuit, goggles and snorkel to discover what hides in these river waters of the Mato Grosso do Sul region.

Snorkelling in the Formoso River

At the agreed time, we'll meet at the ecotourism complex Praia da Figueira. After introductions, we'll wear our wetsuits and walk towards the Formoso riverbed, a main river current of Bonito.

Wearing our goggles and snorkel, and accompanied by our guide, we'll start an aquatic route to discover the rich biodiversity of this river. We'll swim through various dives to see what is hidden underwater.

The clear waters of the Formoso river will allow us to observe shoals of different species of fish, from typical catfish to tarpon, piavuçu, tetras, and gilthead bream. Keep your eyes peeled!

After an hour and a half of experience, we'll conclude the activity at the starting point. You can choose to leave at this time or continue enjoying the river beach of Praia da Figueira, which features slides, kayaks, hammocks, and a zip line.
