In this trekking route of the Cascadas Escondidas waterfalls, we'll escape from the city to discover waterfalls in the Panamanian jungle.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Plaza de los Establos and then head towards the district of Bajo Mono.
After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at the beginning of our hiking route. This route measures around 4.5 kilometres (2.7 miles) and will lead us through the Panama Jungle to the area of the Cascadas Escondidas waterfalls.
We'll embark on a journey along a trail that meanders through the cloud forest. This path was once used by pre-Columbian indigenous communities in search of gold from the lagoons in this region. They sourced clay here for pottery.
We'll climb a steep slope to reach a set of 3 waterfalls within the jungle where participants can enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and have the option to swim.
Afterwards, we'll return to the trailhead, where a vehicle will take us back to the meeting point in Boquete, arriving 3-4 hours after pickup.
