Cascadas Escondidas Hike

This trekking adventure to the Hidden Waterfalls offers a perfect getaway from urban life, allowing us to explore stunning cascades deep within the Panamanian jungle.

Description

We will gather at the Plaza de los Establos at the designated time, after which we will travel towards the Bajo Mono district.

After approximately a 30-minute drive, we will reach the starting point of our hiking expedition. This approximately 4.5-kilometer (2.7 miles) trail will guide us through the lush Panama Jungle to the mystic Hidden Waterfalls.

As we embark on this trek, we will navigate a path that winds through the enchanting cloud forest. This very trail has historical significance, once traversed by pre-Columbian indigenous communities in their pursuit of gold hidden within the region's mysterious lagoons. They also collected clay from these lagoons, an essential material used in local pottery.

Our journey will lead us up a challenging incline to a series of three waterfalls cascading through the jungle. Here, you'll have the opportunity to admire the natural beauty, capture some photos, and, if you wish, take a refreshing swim!

After enjoying the waterfalls, we will retrace our steps to the trailhead, where transportation will be arranged to return us to the meeting point in Boquete. We expect to be back within a timeframe of 3 to 4 hours from the initial pickup.
