In this trekking route of the Cascadas Escondidas waterfalls, we'll escape from the city to discover beautiful waterfalls in the Panamanian jungle.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Plaza de los Establos in Boquete and head towards the district of Bajo Mono.
After a 30-minute drive, we'll reach the start of our hiking route, which measures around 4.5 kilometres (2.7 miles). This trail leads through the Panama Jungle to the area of the Cascadas Escondidas waterfalls.
We'll journey along a path through the mystical cloud forest, previously traveled by pre-Columbian indigenous communities in search of gold. They sourced clay from local lagoons, vital for pottery.
After climbing a steep slope, we'll arrive at a set of 3 waterfalls within the jungle, where you can photograph the scenery and swim in the refreshing waters.
We'll then return to the trail's beginning, where a vehicle will take us back to the meeting point in Boquete. The total duration of the tour will be 3-4 hours, including pickup and return.
