On this excursion from Bordeaux, we'll take you to Arcachon Bay to enjoy an oyster tasting and visit the famous Dune of Pilat.

Meet us in front of the Cité du Vin Museum in Bordeaux for a day trip to visit two significant sites in the Aquitaine region: Arcachon Bay and the Dune of Pilat.

Our first stop is Gujan-Mestras, the oyster capital within the Arcachon Basin. Here, we'll have an oyster tasting with a glass of white wine. An additional aperitif of shrimp or pâté can also be requested.

As we enjoy the coastal flavors, our guide will share insights into the oyster farming culture of the region and details on how the oysters are harvested.

Next, we'll head to the Dune of Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe, reaching a height of 108 meters (354 feet) as of 2018. We'll climb up the staircase to the summit for views of Cap Ferret, the basin mouth, and the Banc d'Arguin. Our guide will share facts about this ecosystem and its history.

After 5 hours of adventure, we'll return to Bordeaux.
