On this excursion from Bordeaux, we'll take you to Arcachon Bay to enjoy an oyster tasting and visit the famous Dune of Pilat.

Meet us in front of the Cité du Vin Museum in Bordeaux, and we'll set off on a day trip to visit two sites in the Aquitaine region: Arcachon Bay and the Dune of Pilat.

Our first stop will be in Gujan-Mestras, the oyster capital of the Arcachon Basin. Here, we'll enjoy an oyster tasting paired with a glass of white wine. You may also request an additional aperitif of shrimp or pâté.

As we savor the coastal flavors, our guide will provide insights into the oyster farming culture of the region, including the characteristics of the oysters and the harvesting process.

Next, we will head to the Dune of Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe, reaching a height of 108 meters (354 feet) above sea level. We'll climb the staircase to the summit for views of Cap Ferret, the basin mouth, and the Banc d'Arguin. Our guide will share information about this unique ecosystem and its history.

After 5 hours of adventure, we will return to the meeting point in Bordeaux.
