Bordeaux City Bike Tour
We'll meet on Rue du Jardin Public in Bordeaux. After a brief technical talk, we'll start the bicycle tour through the main districts of the capital of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Our first stop will be at the Palais Gallien, the remains of the ancient Roman amphitheater. On our way to Notre-Dame Church, we will pass by the Galerie des Grands Hommes.
Next, we'll visit the Saint-André Cathedral, a World Heritage Site, to learn about its history before heading to the Tribunal Judiciaire, showcasing Bordeaux's Neoclassical architecture.
We'll cycle to the Grosse Cloche, a city symbol, and then stop in the historic district of Saint-Michel, by the Garonne River. Here, the Saint-Michel Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be our main highlight.
We will cross the Pont de Pierre, the oldest bridge in Bordeaux, to reach the Quai des Queyries for views of the riverbank.
Next, at Darwin, an alternative space, you'll have 20 minutes of free time. Afterward, we'll head to the Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas, France's tallest suspension bridge, and visit the Cité du Vin to admire its design.
The tour will conclude with a ride along the Quai des Chartrons, Rue Notre-Dame, and Cours Xavier Arnozan, where we'll make our final stop. After cycling 14 km (8.6 mi), we will return to the starting point to conclude this 3-hour bike tour.
