On this bike tour of Bordeaux, we will explore the city's main attractions while reviewing highlights of its history.

Bordeaux City Bike Tour

We'll meet at the appointed time on Rue du Jardin Public in Bordeaux. After a brief technical talk, we'll start the bicycle tour through the main districts of the capital of New Aquitaine. The route will cover approximately 15 kilometres, primarily through flat areas.

We will begin in the historic district of Saint-Michel, located along the Garonne River, where we will stop in front of the Saint-Michel Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to discuss its history.

The bike tour will continue to the church of Sainte-Croix, a former Benedictine abbey recognized as a Historical Monument of France; we will discuss its Merovingian period during the visit.

Next, we will visit the Jardin Public, then proceed to the Chartrons district, known for its restaurants and bistros. North of Chartrons, near the Garonne, is the Bacalan district, where we will view the Cité du Vin.

From Bacalan, we will cross the Garonne to visit the La Bastide district, known for its bohemian atmosphere, before returning to the starting point to conclude the bike tour.
