Located in Bordeaux's former submarine base, Les Bassins des Lumières features large-scale immersive digital exhibitions focused on historic and contemporary art themes. It is noted as the largest digital art centre in the world. The space encompasses 4 main areas:
The Immersive Citerne: 155 square metres (1,668 square feet) with 7-metre (23-foot) ceilings.The Cube: 220 square metres (2,368 square feet), 8-metre (26-foot) high, focusing on contemporary immersive artists.Large Mooring Buoys: projections from temporary exhibitions onto water.The Base Museum: highlights the history of the submarine base.
