Rupe Trail Hike

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Piazzale Campo della Fiera, in Borgo Maggiore, and then set off on a memorable experience in San Marino's natural area.

During the hike, we will traverse the winding Rupe Trail, an alternative route from the city’s main entrance to the Third Tower, "Il Montale", and the Second Tower, known as "Cesta" or "Fratta". This route showcases a unique side of the world's oldest independent republic.

The trail winds along the slopes of Mount Titano, featuring leafy trees and lush greenery, including the rare ephedra nebrodense. The path includes challenging sections, but the views will be rewarding. The UNESCO-protected area offers excellent climbing spots and green terraces with views of the Adriatic Sea. Highlights include the secluded Tanaccia Sanctuary and an archaeological site of great historic value, which is also a habitat for the peregrine falcon, known for nesting in this peaceful region. Our knowledgeable guide will provide interesting insights throughout the hike.

After 3 hours of walking, the hiking tour will conclude.
