This ghost tour of Boston reveals the dark past of the capital of Massachusetts through intriguing stories.
Description
We will meet at the scheduled time in front of the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Massachusetts Regiment Monument to start the ghost tour of Boston. Our journey begins at Boston Common, where we will visit the Gallows Tree, known as the "hanging tree," site of early executions. From there, we will pass the Massachusetts State House and see the statue of Mary Dyer, discussing the White Witch legend.
Next, we will approach the Boston Athenaeum to hear about the reverend ghost reported to roam its halls. The tour includes a stop at one of the most haunted hotels in the United States and the King's Chapel Burying Ground, the oldest cemetery in the city.
We will then proceed to the Old State House to discuss the Boston Massacre and conclude at the Granary Burial Ground, where notable signers of the Declaration of Independence are buried. The tour lasts approximately one and a half hours before we say our goodbyes.
