This ghost tour of Boston is designed to explore the dark past of the capital of Massachusetts through captivating stories.
Description
Participants will meet at the designated time in front of the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Massachusetts Regiment Monument to commence the tour. The experience begins at Boston Common, approaching the Gallows Tree, also known as the "hanging tree," where early executions occurred. The tour continues past the Massachusetts State House, home to the statue of the martyr Mary Dyer. Discover the story behind the White Witch throughout this journey.
Next, the group will walk to the Boston Athenaeum to learn about the reverend ghost said to wander its halls. The tour will also include a visit to one of the most haunted hotels in the United States, followed by the King's Chapel Burying Ground, the oldest cemetery in Boston.
Before concluding, participants will visit the Old State House and hear about the events of the Boston Massacre. The final destination will be the Granary Burial Ground, where notable figures, including three signers of the Declaration of Independence, are buried. The tour lasts an hour and a half, ending with farewells.
