This ghost tour of Boston is an opportunity to explore the dark past of Massachusetts' capital through spine-tingling stories.
Description
We will meet at the designated time in front of the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Massachusetts Regiment Monument to start the ghost tour of Boston. The tour will commence with a visit to Boston Common, approaching the Gallows Tree, known as the "hanging tree," where early executions occurred. We will then pass by the Massachusetts State House with the statue of martyr Mary Dyer and learn about the White Witch.
Next, we will proceed to the Boston Athenaeum to hear stories about its reverend ghost. The tour continues to one of the most haunted hotels in the U.S. and moves towards the King's Chapel Burying Ground, the oldest cemetery in Boston.
Before concluding, we will visit the Old State House and discuss the events of the Boston Massacre that occurred nearby. Our final stop will be at the Granary Burial Ground, one of the nation's most visited cemeteries, and the resting place of three signers of the Declaration of Independence.
We will conclude the tour after an hour and a half together.
