Private Day Trips
When you book your private day trip from Boston, you can select one of the following options. Each includes hotel pickup at the scheduled time, a guide, transport, and return transfer to your accommodation:
Day Trip to Cambridge, Lexington, and Concord (6 Hours)
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and first take you to Bunker Hill, a significant site related to the War of Independence. Following that, you'll visit Cambridge, home to the prestigious MIT and Harvard.
Next, the journey continues to Lexington, where a stop will be made at Battle Green Park and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery located in Concord.
Day Trip to Newport (8 Hours)
After a journey lasting 1.5 hours, you'll arrive in Newport, which is known as one of the beautiful coastal cities in New England.
In Newport, you'll have the opportunity to see the Marble House, an 1892 mansion that was a gift for the renowned multimillionaire Alva Vanderbilt. You will then enjoy an hour of free time in the port area for lunch.
Post-lunch, a visit to another famous mansion, Breakers, awaits. This estate, built by one of America’s wealthiest men during the Gilded Age, features a classic Italian palace design, exquisite craftsmanship, ocean views, and modern amenities for summer retreats.
Day Trip to Plymouth (8 Hours)
Setting out from Boston, a brief 30-minute journey will take you to Quincy, the birthplace of two U.S. presidents: John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
Your next destination will be Plymouth, where you'll learn about the landmark where the colonies first landed and established themselves in New England.
After exploring the city's main streets, you'll have an hour of free time for lunch. Following lunch, you'll view the replica of the Mayflower II from outside, before commencing your return journey to Boston.
