Chaves Region 4x4 Tour
Your tour begins with a pick-up at your hotel in Boticas at your chosen time. We will travel by 4x4 vehicle or minibus to the city of Chaves, approximately a 30-minute journey.
The first visit will be to the medieval castle of Chaves, known for its rich history. We will also explore the history of the São Francisco and São Neutel forts, significant constructions in the old town. A brief stop will be made at the Roman bridge over the Tâmega River, erected by Emperor Trajan.
Next, we will proceed along Portugal’s longest road, Nacional 2, stopping at the famous Kilometre Zero. The tour concludes with a visit to the thermal baths, where we will discuss their construction and significance as a social center of the period.
After approximately three hours of travel, we will return you to your hotel in Boticas.
