Explore the lovely villages of Tras-os-Montes in northeastern Portugal on this tour from Boticas.

Description

When booking, you can choose between 2 options. Both include pickup at your hotel in Boticas at 9 am, an English-speaking guide, and return transfer:

Tour of Chaves, Boticas, & Montalegre

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Boticas and head to the Tras-os-Montes area to visit Alto Tamega. The first stop will be Montalegre, known for its 13th-century castle and the Ecomuseu de Barroso - Espaço Padre Fontes, which highlights the village's history and environmental heritage.

After the museum, we'll return to Boticas to visit the Rural Museum, followed by an hour of free time for lunch. After lunch, we’ll head to Chaves to visit its medieval castle and explore its Roman heritage, including thermal baths and a stone bridge.

We'll conclude the tour and drop you off at your hotel in Boticas by 5 pm.

Tour of Chaves, Valpaços, & Vila Pouca de Aguiar

This option includes Chaves and explores other notable places in Trás-os-Montes. We’ll visit Vila Pouca de Aguiar, specifically the Parque de Pedras Salgadas, a wooded area featuring uniquely shaped stones. We will also visit Valpaços to see the Wine Museum and learn about the local winemaking tradition. You can choose which areas you want to visit!
