Muscat is a city on the shores of the Arabian Sea known for its blend of modern buildings and ancient fortresses. Discover the capital of Oman with this guided tour.
Itinerary
We will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and proceed to Shati Al-Qurm, an upscale Muscat neighborhood housing embassies, ministries, and hotels. The tour begins here, showcasing the architectural contrast of Oman’s capital, where modern government buildings integrate with ancient Islamic architecture.
Next, we will visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the largest in the country, constructed by a team of up to 20,000 workers and covering almost 420,000 square meters. You will marvel at its intricate geometrical patterns in marble.
Following that, we will explore the fish market and wander through the narrow-covered alleys of Mutrah Souk, where the scents of spices, coffee, and herbal remedies create a unique ambiance.
Later, we will visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum to learn about Oman's history and culture (entrance ticket included). Before concluding the tour, we will stop at the Al Alam Palace, the official residence of Sultan Qaboos. Bring your camera for this visit!
