Nizwa, Birkat Al Mawz + Jabreen Full-Day Tour

This 9-hour tour of Nizwa provides an opportunity to explore significant castles in the Arabian Peninsula, starting from the "cultural capital" of Oman and including a visit to an abandoned town.

Itinerary

After hotel pickup in Muscat, the trip begins to the interior of the Arabian Peninsula to explore emblematic castles of Oman.

The first stop is Birkat Al Mawz, an abandoned town from the 17th century at the foot of Jebel Akhdar Mountain. Visitors will then proceed to Nizwa's historic centre for an hour, where they will see the fortress's exterior, known for its 360-degree cannon tower, and explore the souk market. A stop at a local restaurant for a meal will follow.

Next, guests will visit Jabrin Castle, built in the 17th century and noted for its well-preserved structure and intricate woodwork. Observers are encouraged to admire the ornate ceiling.

Finally, the return to Muscat includes a stop at Oman Avenue Mall for shopping or refreshments before drop-off at the hotel.
