Braga Guided Tour
Meet us at Largo da Praça Velha to kick off our guided tour of Braga. In this historic plaza, one of the oldest in the city, we will admire the Porta Nova Arch, built in 1512, leading us to the Braga Wall.
Next, we will visit the Medieval Tower, a notable example of northern Portuguese architecture.
Our walking tour continues down Diogo de Sousa Street to the Town Hall building, which began construction in 1754 and was completed in 1865. This baroque-style building is a highlight of the city.
Braga is considered Portugal's religious center, and during the tour, we will discuss its historical significance. We will pass through the Santa Barbara Gardens and the Third Order Church, dedicated to Pope John Paul II, along with the impressive Braga Cathedral.
We will also explore remarkable 18th-century buildings in the city, including Casa Rolão, Casa dos Crivos, and Capela e Casa dos Coimbras.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point 2.5 hours later, concluding our tour.
