Braga Guided Tour
Meet us at Largo da Praça Velha to start our guided tour of Braga. In this historic plaza, one of the oldest in the city, we will admire the Porta Nova Arch, built in 1512, which provides entry to the Braga Wall.
Next, we will head to the Medieval Tower, an example of northern Portuguese architecture.
Our walking tour continues down Diogo de Sousa Street to the Town Hall building, which began construction in 1754 and was completed in 1865. This baroque-style building is noteworthy.
Braga is Portugal's religious center. During our tour, we will discuss the area's history as we pass through the Santa Barbara Gardens, the Third Order Church, dedicated to Pope John Paul II, and the impressive Braga Cathedral.
We will discover remarkable 18th-century buildings, including Casa Rolão, Casa dos Crivos, and Capela e Casa dos Coimbras.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point 2.5 hours later, concluding our tour.
