Brasilia Music and Food Tour
Between 1:30 pm and 1:45 pm, we will pick you up from your hotel in Brasilia to start this tour of the city.
Brasilia became the capital of Brazil in 1960. The tour will cover the move of the capital from Rio de Janeiro and the urban project for its construction.
We will explore the city by minibus and on foot. Our first stop is the church of Our Lady of Fatima, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, followed by the Don Bosco sanctuary, where we will learn about its history and admire its blue stained-glass windows.
The guided tour will continue through the business district to the Ministries Esplanade, home to administrative buildings such as the Itamaraty Palace and the National Congress.
The tour includes the Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its modern architecture.
Next, we will visit the Army Headquarters to see the Acoustic Shell monument and enjoy a performance by a violinist at sunset.
After the performance, we will go to public gardens for a picnic-style snack featuring local produce, including seasonal fruit juice, corn cake with cheese, and Baru chestnuts.
The tour will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel at 6 pm.
