Join us to discover how Brasilia was designed in this free tour of Lúcio Costa's Residential Scale. We'll see the urban plan created for the capital of Brazil.
Description
We'll meet at the entrance of the Igrejinha de Nossa Senhora de Fátima church to begin the free tour focused on the planning of Brasilia and its specific urban plans.
The layout of the capital includes four styles of scale: Monumental, Gregaria, Residencial, and Bucolica. During this tour, we will cover the details of the Residential Scale designed by Lúcio Costa.
We will visit the Renato Russo Cultural Centre, which features concert halls, galleries, and exhibitions serving as the cultural epicenter of the area.
Next, we will stop at the Clube Vizinhança, an association that promotes various entertainment activities for the local population. This visit will provide insights into everyday life in Brasilia.
The tour will conclude at the Cine Brasília, a notable example of Lúcio Costa's urban planning and one of the few cinemas located outside large complexes or shopping centres.
After a duration of 3 hours, we will end the tour of the Lúcio Costa Residential Scale.
