Immerse yourself in Brasilia's urban art scene and join this free tour through the Setor Comercial Sul, a neighborhood linked to graffiti culture in the Brazilian capital.

Description

Meet at the Galeria dos Estados at the indicated time for the start of our free tour of the Setor Comercial Sul. Prepare to explore the vibrant facades of this neighborhood!

The Setor Comercial Sul is known as an open-air urban art museum. Its graffiti and murals have made this area essential for art enthusiasts. During the tour, you'll see various artists' works on building facades, providing numerous opportunities for captivating photos.

While exploring, we'll stop outside the Postal Museum to discuss the history of Brazil's telegraph and postal system. We will reveal the identity of the person who wrote the first letter to arrive in the country and its contents.

As we continue, we'll encounter the sculpture of João Filgueiras Lima, known as Lelé, a key figure in the construction of Brasilia. We'll examine his legacy and his connections with notable artists like Oscar Niemeyer. The tour promises continuous learning and discovery.

After a two to three-hour tour, we will conclude our journey through the Setor Comercial Sul at SCS Quadra 05.
