Bear Watching in the Romanian Carpathians
At the agreed time, you will be picked up at the George Bari?iu Library and driven to the Transylvania region. During the trip to the lookout point, safety rules and information about the animals you may see will be provided. This area is known for having a large population of wild Carpathian brown bears, estimated at around 5,000.
Once at the forested area, you will have the chance to see the bears from a special viewpoint. A ranger will share insights into their behavior and ecology as you enjoy the landscape of the Carpathian Mountains. There is about an 80% chance of seeing a brown bear, including large males or females with cubs. Other wildlife you may observe includes wild boars, roe deer, red deer, and game birds.
Approximately 4 hours later, the activity will conclude and you will be dropped off at the meeting point in Brasov.

The start time may vary slightly from the booking process. You will be contacted to confirm the exact time to be at the meeting point, generally between 4 pm and 6 pm, depending on weather conditions and animal behavior.
