Transfagarasan + Sambata de Sus Monastery Tour

At 8.30 am, we'll meet outside the Modarom building in Brasov to begin a tour of the Transfagarasan road.

Driving through villages, we'll learn about this road, built in the '70s by the armed forces for access between Transylvania and Wallachia, providing insight into the country's history.

We'll ascend the Fagaras Mountains in the Carpathian Mountain Range and stop at viewpoints to enjoy the natural scenery, including the highest point of the road to admire Balea Lake.

You'll have an hour of free time for exploration and snacks at food stalls. After this, we'll continue to the Sambata de Sus Monastery, showcasing Romanian architecture from the 17th century.

Upon arrival, a half-hour guided tour of the three churches in the complex will be provided before we return to Brasov.

We'll arrive back at the starting point at 3 pm.
