On this tour to Trnava, we'll visit Slovakia's Little Rome, exploring the city characterized by its temples and history linked to the Church.
Description
You will catch a train from Bratislava train station for a 30-minute ride to Trnava. Upon arrival, the guide will greet you at the train station.
During this day trip to Trnava, we will discover the town's history and explore churches, streets, and cafes. We will learn about one of the first cities in the Hungarian Kingdom and admire the temples that represented the head of the bishop and archbishop of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
In a 2-hour guided visit, we will see various architectural styles, including the Saint Nicholas Gothic Cathedral and the Saint John the Baptist Baroque Church, discussing the characteristics that earned Trnava the nickname Little Rome.
After the walking tour, you will have 2 hours of free time to explore Trnava independently and enjoy local cafes.
At the agreed time, you will take the train back to Bratislava, arriving roughly 4.5 hours later.
