Description
At the designated time, you will board a train at the Bratislava train station for a brief journey lasting approximately 30 minutes to Trnava. Upon your arrival, our guide will be there to welcome you at the station. Are you aware that this city is sometimes called Slovakia's Little Rome?
During this day trip to Trnava, we will delve into the remarkable history of this town, wandering through its churches, charming streets, and inviting cafes. We will uncover the significance of one of the earliest cities in the Hungarian Kingdom and appreciate the numerous temples that played a vital role when this area served as the seat of the bishop and archbishop of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Throughout our 2-hour guided tour, we’ll observe a variety of architectural styles, including the stunning Saint Nicholas Gothic Cathedral and the elegant Saint John the Baptist Baroque Church. We will highlight the distinct features of Trnava that have earned it the title of Little Rome.
Following the walking tour, you’ll have 2 hours of leisure time to continue discovering Trnava independently and savoring some local refreshments in its cafes.
When the time arrives, you will return to Bratislava by train, reaching your destination approximately 4.5 hours later.
