Yorkín Indigenous Community: 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Bribri - Yorkín Indigenous Community

On the first day, we'll meet at 9 am in the Bribri Talamanca Indigenous Territory, where our guide will be waiting. We will board a canoe and sail for about an hour and a half to the shore nearest the indigenous community of Yorkín. From there, we will walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the village.

Upon arrival, community members will welcome us with snacks before accompanying us to the ranch for overnight accommodation. A guided tour of the village will follow, where we will learn about local life and environmental projects. We will also learn the cocoa preparation process and make a jícara, tasting the chocolate produced.

Day 2: Yorkín Indigenous Community - Bribi

After a night in nature, we will enjoy a traditional breakfast before embarking on a tour to discover medicinal plants and their health benefits. We will then participate in an archery class to master this ancient skill. A walk to the Panamanian area of the Yorkín River will lead us to a beautiful waterfall for a refreshing swim before lunch.

We will conclude our 2-day tour by returning to the meeting point in Bribri at around 3 pm.

This tour includes one night's accommodation in a room with private bathroom or in a double or single tent with shared bathroom, depending on availability.
