Yorkín Indigenous Community: 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Bribi - Yorkín Indigenous Community

On the first day, we'll meet at 9 am in the Bribri Talamanca Indigenous Territory. We will board a canoe for about an hour and a half to the shore near the indigenous community of Yorkín. After a 15-minute walk, we will arrive at the village, where we will be welcomed by community members offering snacks. We will then be guided to the ranch for overnight accommodation and take a guided tour of the village to learn about local life and environmental projects. We will also learn about cocoa preparation, make a jícara, and taste the chocolate.

Day 2: Yorkín Indigenous Community - Bribi

After a night surrounded by nature, we will have a traditional breakfast and go on a tour of the medicinal plants of the area. The tour includes an archery class and a walk to the Panamanian area of the Yorkín River to visit a waterfall for swimming before lunch. We will then return to the meeting point in Bribri, concluding the tour around 3 pm.

This tour includes one night's accommodation in a room with a private bathroom or in a double or single tent with a shared bathroom, depending on availability.
