Yorkín Indigenous Community: 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Bribri - Yorkín Indigenous Community

On the first day of our tour, we'll meet at 9 am in the Bribri Talamanca Indigenous Territory, where our guide will be waiting for us. We'll board a canoe and travel for about an hour and a half to the shore nearest the indigenous community of Yorkín. After disembarking, we'll walk for approximately 15 minutes to reach our destination.

Upon arrival at the village, community members will welcome us and offer snacks before guiding us to the ranch for our overnight stay. A guided tour of the village will provide insight into local life and environmental projects.

We will also learn about cocoa preparation and create a jícara to taste the chocolate.

Day 2: Yorkín Indigenous Community - Bribi

After a night in nature, we'll enjoy a traditional breakfast before a tour to discover medicinal plants and their health benefits.

Next, we’ll attend an archery class, followed by a walk to the Panamanian area of the Yorkín River to visit a waterfall where swimming is available before lunch.

Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Bribri, concluding the tour around 3 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation in a room with a private bathroom or in a double or single tent with a shared bathroom, depending on availability.
