Yorkín Indigenous Community: 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Bribri - Yorkín Indigenous Community

On the first day, we meet at 9 am in the Bribri Talamanca Indigenous Territory. We'll board a canoe for about an hour and a half to reach the shore near the Yorkín Indigenous Community. After a 15-minute walk, we will arrive at the village and be welcomed by community members, who will provide snacks before taking us to the ranch for the night. A guided tour of the village will follow, focusing on local life and environmental projects. We will also learn about cocoa preparation from pod to chocolate and create a jícara to taste the chocolate.

Day 2: Yorkín Indigenous Community - Bribi

We begin the day with a traditional breakfast before exploring the medicinal plants of the area. Next, we have an archery class to learn this ancient skill. We'll then walk to the Panamanian area of the Yorkín River, where a waterfall awaits for a refreshing swim before lunch. The tour concludes with our return to the meeting point in Bribri around 3 pm.
