Yorkín Indigenous Community Tour
At 9 am, we'll meet in Bambú, in Costa Rica's Bribri Talamanca Indigenous Territory. There, a member of the Yorkín community will provide insight into their lifestyle, culture, and traditions.
We will board a canoe to cruise the Yorkín River for about an hour and a half, offering a chance to observe local plants and wildlife.
Once on land, we'll walk for approximately 15 minutes to our destination, where we will meet other community members who will explain their work on the local organic farm and discuss the properties of medicinal plants. There will also be a visit to the local school and some houses.
During the tour, a traditional lunch featuring local Yorkín delicacies will be served. We will also visit the area’s cocoa plantations and learn how to use a bow, the hunting tool preferred by the community.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point, arriving at around 4:30 pm.
