Have you ever wanted to see the stars? On our La Palma Stargazing Experience, you'll admire a starry night from a unique perspective and learn lots of fun facts about our night sky.

La Palma Stargazing Experience

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Travesía Los Cancajos, in the municipality of Breña Baja. After introductions, you will follow the guide to our stargazing viewpoint.

The viewpoint will be chosen based on the weather conditions, typically on the island's peaks. Once there, we'll exit the vehicles and start to admire the night sky.

La Palma is recognized as one of the best places for stargazing. The island's altitude and low light pollution provide excellent visibility for astronomy enthusiasts. Participants can expect to see star clusters, nebulae, some planets, and possibly the spiral arm of the Milky Way.

With a telescope, we'll observe celestial bodies that are light-years away and identify well-known constellations, including guidance on locating the North Star.

The activity lasts approximately three and a half hours before we return to the starting point.

Transport not included

Note that the meeting point is not where stargazing occurs. Travel to the stargazing spot typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the day's weather.
