Brescia Private Guided Tour

At the selected time, we'll meet at the Piazza del Foro to start our private tour of Brescia. During this walking tour, we'll learn historical facts and admire key monuments in this city in the Lombardy region.

Our tour will begin with a visit to the Roman ruins of Brescia, taking us back to the 1st century and the golden age of the Ancient Empire in northern Italy.

Next, we'll walk to Piazza Paolo VI, a square of medieval origin that remains the heart of Brescia. Here, we'll admire the facades of the Palazzo Comunale and the two cathedrals of the city, observing the contrasts between the New Cathedral and the Old Cathedral.

The next stop will be the Piazza Della Loggia, known for its Renaissance aesthetics. We'll review the palaces surrounding this square and discuss the history of its astronomical clock.

Before concluding the tour, we'll explain why Brescia is referred to as the 'lioness of Italy', recounting the battles in this region, from the Napoleonic invasion to the uprising against the Austrians.

After two hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the private tour in Piazza Della Vittoria.
