Description

The guided exploration will commence at the Statue of Errol Barrow, located in Independence Square. Errol Barrow, notable for being the first prime minister of Barbados, serves as a fitting start to our adventure.

Over the course of 2 hours, we will delve into the fascinating past of the island. Discover the rich history of Bridgetown, a designation bestowed by Unesco in 2011. Prepare to admire the vibrant architecture that defines this charming city.

Our path will lead us past the Parliament, where we will discuss its significance within the former Commonwealth of Nations. We will also encounter the silent cannons that have witnessed the city's storied past.

Additionally, did you know that the world-renowned artist Rihanna hails from this very capital? She grew up in Saint Michael, where her childhood home, a quintessential wooden house, has become a point of interest for many visitors. Fans of the Umbrella singer will certainly want to catch a glimpse of her birthplace.

Our next stop will be the Synagogue and the Cathedral, with origins tracing back to 1789. We will share insights into the history of these remarkable structures. A special visit to an intriguing location, the burial ground, will also be part of our route.
