Description
At the indicated time, we'll start our guided tour of Bridgetown at the Statue of Errol Barrow in Independence Square. Barrow was the first prime minister of Barbados.
For 2 hours, we'll transport you to the past of the island. You'll hear about the history of the capital of Barbados, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011. Explore the buildings of the city!
We'll walk past the Parliament and learn about its role in the former Commonwealth of Nations. We'll also look at the cannons in Bridgetown.
Did you know that singer Rihanna was born in the Barbadian capital, specifically in Saint Michael? She grew up in a wooden house, now a tourist attraction, allowing fans to see her birthplace.
Next, we'll visit the Synagogue and the Cathedral, built in 1789, with a rich history explained during the tour. We’ll also explore the burial ground.
