Would you like to experience time travel in the capital of Barbados? On this guided tour of Bridgetown, you'll discover this World Heritage Site.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll start our guided tour of Bridgetown at the Statue of Errol Barrow in Independence Square. Barrow was the first prime minister of Barbados.

For 2 hours, we'll transport you to the past of the island. You'll hear about the surprising history of the capital of Barbados, which was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2011. Explore the colourful buildings of the city.

We'll walk past the Parliament and learn about its role in the former Commonwealth of Nations. We'll also look at the cannons in the streets of Bridgetown.

The famous singer Rihanna was born and raised in Bridgetown, specifically in Saint Michael. Her typical wooden house has become a tourist attraction, allowing fans to see her birthplace.

Next, we'll visit the Synagogue and the Cathedral, which was built in 1789. We'll discuss the history of this monument and its significance. We'll also explore a burial ground.
