Walk through the garden of La Alcarria with this guided tour of Brihuega. You'll discover its numerous medieval monuments while the smell of lavender intoxicates your senses.
Description
We'll meet at the designated time at the Puerta de la Cadena and start a guided tour around Brihuega, one of the most important towns in the Alcarria. This tour focuses on the medieval history of the town as we walk along the remains of the old walled town. We will visit the church of San Felipe if no worship is in progress. Brihuega is notable for having five Romanesque parish churches.
As we continue, we will see the old washing place, El Coso square, and the remains of the Arab wall of Brihuega, eventually reaching the Peña Bermeja Castle and the Prado de Santa María Church, a frequently visited monument.
The tour will conclude in front of the Cozagón Arch approximately two and a half hours after departure.
