Description
We'll assemble at the appointed time at the Puerta de la Cadena to embark on a guided exploration of Brihuega, a key town within the Alcarria. Are you prepared to unveil the mysteries of this lavender haven?
To begin, we will delve into the medieval past of this charming location as we stroll along the remnants of the ancient walled settlement. Our first stop will be the church of San Felipe, where we will have the opportunity to enter, provided there are no ongoing services. Interestingly, Brihuega boasts five Romanesque parish churches.
Our route will take us past the historic washing place, through El Coso square, and alongside the remnants of the Arab wall of Brihuega. We will continue until we arrive at the Peña Bermeja Castle and the Prado de Santa María Church, a popular landmark among visitors.
The journey will conclude in front of the Cozagón Arch, approximately two and a half hours after we set out.
