Description
We'll meet at Plaza Iglesia in Yela at the designated time. From there, we'll start this hiking route through the Quejigares de Barriopedro & Brihuega.
Located in the valley of the central stretch of the Tajuña River, this protected wooded area boasts a variety of species such as holm oaks, gall oaks, willows, and poplars. As we explore the natural landscapes of Guadalajara, you'll receive information about the flora and fauna present.
During the hiking route, you'll have the chance to spot small mammals like genets, wildcats, and badgers. The route is approximately 13 kilometers long and will lead us to Civica, a village carved into the rock.
This site contains caves, terraces, arches, and passages, presenting an architectural feature in the Alcarria. Here, you'll learn about its recent construction by Don Aurelio and the historical significance of Civica.
At the end of the tour, we will return to the starting point in Yela, with the entire experience lasting around 4 hours.
