Why visit Historium Brugge?

Located in the heart of the Grote Markt, Historium Brugge is the most visited tourist attraction in Bruges. Your ticket includes entrance to the permanent Historium Exhibition and an audio guide for the interactive Historium Story exhibition, telling the story of Jacob, an apprentice of Jan van Eyck, covering the Golden Age of Bruges in the 14th and 15th centuries. The exhibition features projections, scenery, and special effects to provide insight into daily life in the Middle Ages. The visit lasts about an hour.

Virtual reality experience

You can book an option that includes admission to the virtual reality experience, featuring an 8-minute 3D tour of medieval Bruges. The minimum age for this experience is 6 years old.

The opening hours of Historium Brugge and the virtual reality experience are:

Monday to Sunday: 11 am to 6 pmLast access: Last pass for the museum is 1 hour before closing and 30 minutes before for the virtual reality experience.

Children under 15

The children's ticket is for ages 5 to 15, and the infant ticket is for children under 5. For the virtual reality experience, the children's ticket applies to ages 6 to 15. Infants (under 6) can enter Historium Brugge but do not have access to the virtual reality experience.
