At the designated meeting point outside of Central Station in the heart of Brussels, we will embark on a scenic tour of the city. While aboard the bus, views of notable landmarks like Elisabeth Park and the Sacré Coeur Basilica will greet us as we make our way out of the city.
Departing from the bustling center of Brussels, we journey toward the picturesque city of Bruges, often referred to as “The Venice of the North”. This enchanting location is located approximately 100 km (62 miles) northeast of the capital.
Exploring Bruges
Upon our arrival, we will start our exploration of Bruges, where we will encounter renowned sites such as the historic Old Saint John’s Hospital and the stunning Church of Our Lady, which is home to the famous Madonna and Child sculpture.
Additionally, we'll explore Market Square, the awe-inspiring Basilica of the Holy Blood, the iconic Belfry of Bruges, The Lake of Love, and the tranquil Begijnhof established in 1245. Other highlights include Walplein Square, the serene Dijver Canal, Tanners Square, Castle Square with its Gothic-styled Town Hall, ensuring a thorough sightseeing experience!
After our guided visit, you’ll have 1.5 hours of leisure time to enjoy a meal, take a canal boat ride, or indulge in a coffee while sampling exquisite Belgian chocolate.
Revitalized, we will depart Bruges and head to Ghent, known for its lively atmosphere and dynamic university.
Discovering Ghent
Upon reaching Ghent, we will explore St. Bavo’s Cathedral, famous for housing the iconic artwork “The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb” by the Van Eyck brothers.
We will also visit the Belfry of Ghent, Saint Nicholas’ Church, Gravensteen, and the noteworthy Town Hall, along with the Masons’ Guild House. A stroll through the charming Patershol district will conclude our explorations of Ghent.
After fully immersing ourselves in the vibrant essence of Ghent, there will be additional time for you to continue soaking in the atmosphere at your own pace.
After a day rich in cultural and historical discoveries, we will return to the center of Brussels, concluding our journey after approximately 10.5 hours together.

Those interested may opt for a 30-minute boat ride on Bruges’ canals, beginning from the Rosary pier during your free time in the city.
